Deadline for Race Entry Forms: February 16, 2007(midnite for online registration)

            *Liability waiver forms must also be completed with the registration paperwork.

            LATE FEE: $10.00 if postmarked after Deadline

Race Entry Fees:  $25.00 per race per day

Registration packet pick up: 6:00 pm on Saturday, Feb. 17 at coaches meeting for teams.

**Day of race registrations will not be accepted.

Awards Banquet: Sunday, Feb 18 at 5:30 pm at Mt. Spokane High School, 6015 E. Mt. Spokane Park Dr. Cost included in race entry fee for racers.  Non-racers $10.00 per person payable at the door. Meal is catered Spaghetti Feast with all of the trimmings.

*Medals will be given to the top 3 finishers and ribbons to 4 - 10th place. J3 championship awards also presented. Top Male and Top Female in each event (over 21) will receive a bottle of Townshend wine. (sparkling cider if they are not 21)

Facilities:  There is a day lodge on Mt. Spokanewith indoor washrooms at the race site. In addition outhouses are located near day lodge and race start.

*Parking is available on site with a sno-park parking permit.  These can be purchased on site or at Fitness Fanatics, 12425 E. Trent, Spokane, WA 922-6080.

Concession: There will be no food available on site.  Please come prepared. Fruit and drink will be available for racers at the finish line.

Waxing: There are a few waxing forms outside the day lodge.

Course Preview:  The course will be set up for training on Saturday, February 17, 2007

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Spokane Nordic Junior Olympic Qualifier Race Feb.18-19, 2007

I.  TIME COMMITMENT -Varies with job description; can be 1-6 hours!

II.  EVENT NEEDS  AND JOB DESCRIPTIONS

  • SET-UP:  Physical labor of setting up start/finish, course, signage for each day
  • PARKING LOT: Directing traffic, maximizing space
  • START/FINISH AREA: Skier identification, facilitate starts, assist with timing chips and bibs
  • COURSE MARSHAL: Attention to skier safety, course directions, communication
  • TIMING: Assist with back-up of chip timing
  • SNACK AREA: Set-up, distribution, clean-up of skier refreshments
  • TAKE DOWN: Appropriate tasks for each day; garbage removal

III. APPROXIMATE VOLUNTEER BODY COUNT: 35 each day

IV. VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION: Lunch served with gratitude!
